Palincsar and Brown (1986) stated that reciprocal teaching is a contemporary application of Vygotsky's theories that uses to increase comprehension with the four key skills of predicting, clarifying, questioning, and summarising to improve students' ability to learn from text (Stricklin, 2011). Implementing these four strategies not only promotes student’s comprehension, but also helps them to become critical thinkers.
